Tell us about Ama&Me
It all started with a frantic call from a close friend who’d just been told her baby’s head circumference was below the normal range. She jumped on Google—like most of us would—and ended up terrified by conflicting articles. Only later did she learn how common it is for early scans to be inaccurate. By then, her stress levels were through the roof. That’s when I realised parents need a more reliable source of support—something that blends expert insights with convenience and empathy. And so, Ama&Me was born.
We wanted to create a platform that cuts through the chaos of endless search results and worst-case scenarios. With our AI-powered WhatsApp platform, parents can get trusted and empathetic on-demand answers anytime, day or night, without wading through heaps of misinformation. We’re here to offer clarity when it’s needed most.
What do you think makes Ama&Me unique?
We’re more than just an information service—we’re a holistic support system for new and expectant parents. Typical search engines can throw you down a rabbit hole of random links. Ama&Me, on the other hand, offers fast, reliable answers based on trusted sources.
Just as importantly, we know clinical facts alone don’t always ease anxiety. Our approach is warm and empathetic, aimed at boosting confidence rather than adding stress. We want parents to feel heard, not just informed. There’s something so much more personal using Whatsapp to reach out to someone you trust, rather than jumping onto your browser and reading random, typically doomsday, articles.

How has Ama&Me evolved?
Originally, we were all about delivering accurate answers quickly. But parents soon told us they also needed to feel genuinely understood. One user put it best:
“I stumbled onto Ama&Me late one night looking for help with my newborn’s colic. Instead of a barrage of conflicting info, I got an immediate, empathetic response that felt like a supportive friend was guiding me. It was about feeling less alone, not just getting facts.”
Hearing that changed our perspective. We refined our AI to pick up on emotional cues, added interactive Q&As, and developed a collection of expert articles tailored to real-life parenting worries. Now, Ama&Me is as much about emotional reassurance as it is about reliable information.
We’ve also added voice commands, meaning you can speak to Ama&Me while your hands are full, and image recognition, so that parents can easily take pictures of anything concerning, such as rashes, and immediately get the feedback they need.
What can we see from Ama&Me in the future?
We’re only getting started. Our next step is deeper personalisation—tailoring guidance to each stage of pregnancy or your child’s age. We’re also exploring real-time consultations and forging more partnerships with healthcare pros. Staying on WhatsApp means parents can reach us wherever they are, whenever they need help.
Plus, we’re committed to making a bigger impact. For every subscription, we fund free access for parents in lower-income communities, ensuring everyone can benefit from trusted support. Our vision is simple: empower every parent, regardless of background, to navigate pregnancy and parenthood with confidence.
Building a community
Information alone isn’t enough. Parents need a sense of belonging and a place to share experiences. That’s why we want to develop a community, both online and off, so nobody feels isolated in their journey. By connecting people who’ve been through similar challenges, we’re creating a friendly space where questions are answered, fears are eased, and top tips can be shared.
