Daybreaker returns with its PEACE TOUR! The event begins with an outdoor morning yoga class and then transitions into a dance party emphasizing self-expression and unity with others.

  • Yoga begins at 8 a.m., a ticket purchase of $45 includes Yoga and Dance.
  • Dance begins at 9 a.m., a ticket purchase of $25 includes Dance only.

Program

Join emcee Elliott LaRue and the Daybreaker Team for an outdoor morning yoga class at 8 a.m. on the REACH Upper Lawn, followed by a dance party at 9 a.m., emphasizing self-expression and unity with others.

Daybreaker’s 11th season is dedicated to promoting peace, compassion, understanding, and harmony. Participants are encouraged to dress in white to symbolize peace. To capture the season’s theme, Daybreaker will film the event, including participants’ attire. Giveaways will be provided. ݮƵѰapp is one of thirteen stops of the PEACE TOUR around the United States.

Mouret’s spirited opéra-ballet, Les Fêtes de Thalie, looks at love through the eyes of three women in these delightful vignettes: La Fille (The Girl), La Veuve Coquette (The Coquettish Widow) and La Femme (The Wife). Conducted by Christophe Rousset and directed by Catherine Turocy, these witty tales, in which women get the better of the men in their lives, feature a young and diverse cast of American singers and dancers.

American lyric coloratura soprano Erin Morley is one of the most in-demand artists of her generation at venues worldwide, a favorite of top-notch international conductors and audiences alike on two continents. She made her Washington Concert Opera debut last spring as the title character in Delibes' Lakmé in which she was praised by Washington Classical Review for a voice that "shimmered with radiance and delicacy." Together with pianist Gerald Martin Moore, their program includes selections by Johannes Brahms, Camille Saint-Saëns, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Sergei Rachmaninov, Alban Berg, Alexander Zemlinsky, Darius Milhaud, Sir Arthur Sullivan, Michael Head, and Ricky Ian Gordon.
