Your favorite holiday classics as you’ve never heard them! ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵÃâ·Ñ°æapp and NPR present A Jazz Piano Christmas, the annual sell-out event featuring jazz-infused renditions of the season’s most-loved music. This year, we spotlight three Cuban pianists for a festive evening full of the rhythms, melodies, and positive energy Cuban music brings: Melvis Santa, Alfredo Rodriguez, and Hilario Durán.

Michael Winograd & the Honorable Mentshn are the world’s favorite Klezmer Band (perhaps self-proclaimed). From Brooklyn, New York, this group has performed their high-energy, virtuosic, and schtick-filled brand of Jewish music to thrilled crowds all over the world.

Enjoy an evening with saxophonist, D.C. native, and Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead graduate Elijah Jamal Balbed—one of the premiere jazz artists in Washington, D.C. Winner of the 2020 DC Jazz Prix Competition, Elijah has performed, recorded, and/or toured with the Godfather of Go-Go Chuck Brown, Dr. John, Fantasia, The Blackbyrds, Patti Austin, Angelique Kidjo, and many others.

Kat Edmonson and her band have recorded Christmas classics such as “Jingle Bell Rock,” “O Christmas Tree,” and “Let It Snow.” The award-winning songwriter and her band will perform these yuletide favorites along with Kat’s originals for a magical holiday evening to remember.
